Ottó Vámosi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 34th minute, Géza Gál ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gualtier Jetté was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 37 minutes into the match, Szombathely Squirrels's goal looked a bit too open when Dino Straumann came free, but Róbert Kormos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mihály Földesi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Szombathely Squirrels's Ferenc Jászberényi got a free kick in the 56th minute. Róbert Kormos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Schermann in the 77th minute of the match. Géza Gál's late challenge caught a THE ROKERY PIMKIS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 87th minute Dino Straumann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Róbert Kormos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th minute of the match Dániel Szabadi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gualtier Jetté skillfully saved the ball. Goliath Cadotsch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
