The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With an all-out effort, Made in Honduras's Sergio Romero threw himself towards the right post 5 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ivan Padilla, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Through an outstanding action, after 5 minutes, Sergio Romero successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Jhalmar Cabrera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leandro Millrick, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. After 13 minutes of play, The Waldos's Leandro Millrick made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jhalmar Cabrera was left in no man's land by his defense there! Evaristo Herrera scored 0-2 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jhalmar Cabrera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jhalmar Cabrera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Evaristo Herrera's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. The Waldos's Sergio Romero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save The Waldos from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aladin Bey during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 28th match minute, Made in Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aladin Bey to maneuver through the defense. Evaristo Herrera recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 32 played minutes Made in Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Rivera. Sergio Romero came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Made in Honduras's Francisco Rivera. But to his dismay, Francisco Rivera quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. In the 46th match minute, The Waldos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evaristo Herrera to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leandro Millrick was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, The Waldos's Jacinto Gonsalve got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Jhalmar Cabrera made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Evaristo Herrera sent off a good shot on target. In the 56th minute The Waldos were awarded a corner. Evaristo Herrera went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 56th minute, Donato Regis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 59 minutes into the game, The Waldos's Leandro Millrick nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jhalmar Cabrera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Made in Honduras's Saul Campos got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Waldos made a substitution. Arturo Machado replaced Blas-Armando Giunta. Sergio Romero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Rivera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Evaristo Herrera hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. The Waldos made a substitution. Robert-Jan Weedsgaard replaced Bernardino Joachim. Evaristo Herrera could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Jhalmar Cabrera made a huge save. After 92 minutes of play, The Waldos's Donato Regis made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jhalmar Cabrera was left in no man's land by his defense there! The The Waldos supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing The Waldos would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
