BEIJO CARNAVAL's Ambrosio Mannie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laurent Grauwen in the 8th minute of play. After 11 played minutes BEIJO CARNAVAL got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Gasteiz. 16 minutes into the game, Isaias Mel recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dimitri Huijbreghts. Isaias Mel showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. A collision led to Esquirla FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Bernt Lembrechts hit a great ball. Edgardo Franco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 23 minutes into the match, BEIJO CARNAVAL's goal looked a bit too open when Laurent Grauwen came free, but Ambrosio Mannie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Dimitri Huijbreghts managed to avoid a goal in the 28thth minute, when BEIJO CARNAVAL's Edgardo Franco fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Edgardo Franco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Edgardo Franco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Dimitri Huijbreghts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dimitri Huijbreghts didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Isaias Mel went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Greg Fondria made in the 36th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by BEIJO CARNAVAL's Ruben Fertus. Dimitri Huijbreghts stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Isaias Mel's shot from short distance in the 37th minute.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Laurent Grauwen to make the kick off. Ambrosio Mannie made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Laurent Grauwen sent off a good shot on target. 58 minutes into the game, Santiago Rosalio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BEIJO CARNAVAL's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Esquirla FC the free kick. In the 59th minute, Santiago Rosalio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 61 minutes into the match, Isaias Mel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dimitri Huijbreghts. Esquirla FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Isaias Mel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. After a rather tough play, BEIJO CARNAVAL's Isaias Mel got a free kick in the 65th minute. A hard shot by Dedé van Beek from long distance, 66 minutes into the match, got Ambrosio Mannie's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 68th minute, Laurent Grauwen reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ambrosio Mannie. The goal made the score 3-1. 74 minutes into the match, Aaron Gasteiz notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Esquirla FC's Dimitri Huijbreghts. Dimitri Huijbreghts was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Esquirla FC's Dimitri Huijbreghts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santiago Rosalio in the 79th minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, Edgardo Franco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dimitri Huijbreghts. Esquirla FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edgardo Franco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. Edgardo Franco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dimitri Huijbreghts read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. In the 90th minute Aaron Gasteiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dimitri Huijbreghts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 91 minutes into the game, Greg Fondria threw the ball into play from the sideline. BEIJO CARNAVAL's Ruben Fertus quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Dimitri Huijbreghts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aaron Gasteiz in the 92nd minute of play. In the 93rd minute Edgardo Franco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dimitri Huijbreghts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edgardo Franco in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dimitri Huijbreghts prevented the ball from getting in the gole. For all the effort they put into the match, the Esquirla FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for BEIJO CARNAVAL.
