After 9 played minutes ROSÁRIO SPORT got a freekick which was hit by Arí Vergílio. Alexander Rojas hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. After 12 minutes of play, ROSÁRIO SPORT's Delfim Berger made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ronald Castaneda was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ronald Castaneda came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by ROSÁRIO SPORT's Osmar Rosario. But to his dismay, Osmar Rosario quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After 23 played minutes ROSÁRIO SPORT got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Geromel. If Waldir Mazza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Osmar Rosario in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ronald Castaneda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Waldir Mazza fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ROSÁRIO SPORT's protests and gave Waldir Mazza a yellow card for diving instead. Waldir Mazza kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. A collision led to ROSÁRIO SPORT getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Arí Vergílio hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lionel Kenny in the 36th minute of play forced ROSÁRIO SPORT's goalkeeper João Carlos Fernandes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. TEAM HONDURAS ROATAN's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by William Montes in the 37th minute. A nice corner shot did that William Montes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this João Carlos Fernandes quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 41 minutes, Marcus Mesquita mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ROSÁRIO SPORT and the TEAM HONDURAS ROATAN players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 41 played minutes ROSÁRIO SPORT got a freekick which was hit by Marcus Mesquita. In the 42nd minute Lionel Kenny shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Carlos Fernandes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcus Mesquita kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. William Montes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 44th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for João Carlos Fernandes. ROSÁRIO SPORT's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lionel Kenny to make the kick off. João Carlos Fernandes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnoldo Toledano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 51 played minutes ROSÁRIO SPORT got a freekick which was hit by Marcus Mesquita. When TEAM HONDURAS ROATAN's Lionel Kenny in 53 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. João Carlos Fernandes guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. ROSÁRIO SPORT's Osmar Rosario got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ronald Castaneda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osmar Rosario in the 65th minute of the match. The ROSÁRIO SPORT fans' excitement grew in the 67th match minute when ROSÁRIO SPORT's Osmar Rosario looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to ROSÁRIO SPORT getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Delfim Berger hit a great ball. The supporters of ROSÁRIO SPORT booed when TEAM HONDURAS ROATAN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fidel Cetino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arnoldo Toledano struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. João Carlos Fernandes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for TEAM HONDURAS ROATAN. TEAM HONDURAS ROATAN's Ronald Castaneda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delfim Berger in the 82nd minute of play. 余斌亦 kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. João Carlos Fernandes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnoldo Toledano, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute.
