After taking down the ball on Monky FC's corner Constantino Pabla fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Edvin van der Saar quite easily take care of the ball. In the 8th minute, Miroslav Jankura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 11 minutes into the match, Someliéri's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquin Abajas came free, but Edvin van der Saar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Filip Backo fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Someliéri's protests and gave Filip Backo a yellow card for diving instead. Monky FC's Ceferino Mel got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jeremias Natal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edvin van der Saar having to make a save. Edvin van der Saar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ceferino Mel in the 25th minute of the match. In the 34th minute Ivo Német shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eleuterio Daunte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eleuterio Daunte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Cifra, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Edvin van der Saar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ceferino Mel in the 42nd minute of the match. 44 minutes into the game, Ed Gordo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Someliéri's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Monky FC the free kick. Constantino Pabla took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 45th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Edvin van der Saar. Someliéri's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Someliéri's Tibor Slaninka got a free kick in the 47th minute. In the 48th match minute, Someliéri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miroslav Jankura to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ceferino Mel in the 49th minute of play forced Someliéri's goalkeeper Edvin van der Saar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner ended in Constantino Pabla almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Someliéri's Edvin van der Saar did a great save. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomáš Javorčík made a kick off. With a little luck, Someliéri's Edvin van der Saar got control of the ball when Joaquin Abajas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gabriel Špaček hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. After 60 minutes, Eleuterio Navarro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Monky FC and the Someliéri players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 66th match minute, Monky FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Favila to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Ivo Német managed to get in a good position for a shot. Someliéri's supporters rose to their feet, but Ivo Német was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eleuterio Daunte breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Justino Christobal during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Monky FC booed when Someliéri was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Cifra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eleuterio Daunte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tibor Slaninka in the 97th minute of play. Tibor Slaninka scored 2-0 in the 97th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eleuterio Daunte, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee ended the match the Someliéri players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
