If Tadeo Elorri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th minute Atilano Maidana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Giurcă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jürgen Klinsmann took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emanuel Giurcă. Emanuel Giurcă dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. In the 36th minute Atilano Maidana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Giurcă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 37th minute Soroca F.C. were awarded a corner. Cristian Chan went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Carmelo Harkaitz managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Emanuel Giurcă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Atilano Maidana, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 40th minute Soroca F.C. were awarded a corner. Cristian Chan went to the cornerflag to take it. 43 minutes into the match, FC Fanaticii's goal looked a bit too open when Tadeo Elorri came free, but Emanuel Giurcă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jürgen Klinsmann in the 44th minute of play forced FC Fanaticii's goalkeeper Emanuel Giurcă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Fanaticii were furious when Aurelian Enișteanu was red carded, 48 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 47th minute, one of FC Fanaticii:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Fanaticii.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marius Măgură was the one to do the kick off. Emanuel Giurcă was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tadeo Elorri showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 56 minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Jürgen Klinsmann notched a goal, 0-7, to the right of FC Fanaticii's Emanuel Giurcă. Emanuel Giurcă was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in FC Fanaticii's zone, Cristian Chan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emanuel Giurcă came out of the goal and Cristian Chan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jürgen Klinsmann could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Emanuel Giurcă made a huge save. In the 81st minute, Eusebiu Oanță hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emanuel Giurcă came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Soroca F.C.'s Tadeo Elorri. But to his dismay, Tadeo Elorri quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-10. Jürgen Klinsmann could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Emanuel Giurcă made a huge save. Atilano Maidana did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-11 to the left of a surprised Emanuel Giurcă 85 minutes into the match. Atilano Maidana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Giurcă having to interfere. Vicente Lehior was extremely unlucky when he, in the 92nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Emanuel Giurcă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tadeo Elorri, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Jürgen Klinsmann received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Emanuel Giurcă came out and tried to block the shot, but Jürgen Klinsmann slotted it home off the left post making it 0-12 in the 99th minute. Soroca F.C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
