The audience thought a goal was coming when Todd Griffiths got free with Francisco Pope in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Todd Griffiths's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Francisco Pope was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. In the 8th match minute, Heavenly Hooters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Todd Griffiths to maneuver through the defense. In the 11thth minute of the game Todd Griffiths who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Key Biscayne FC's Francisco Pope was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 12 minutes Key Biscayne FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Marty King who took care of the corner kick. Heavenly Hooters's Marty King was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Francisco Pope in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Francisco Pope took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Todd Griffiths, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Todd Griffiths in the 17thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Francisco Pope, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jake Grayson charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jake Grayson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Heavenly Hooters getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Jake Grayson hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute, Todd Griffiths made a precise shot to the right of Francisco Pope. Key Biscayne FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 26 minutes into the match, Heavenly Hooters's goal looked a bit too open when Drew Latham came free, but Lennie Rusby reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Todd Griffiths in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Francisco Pope saved Key Biscayne FC from getting behind. After 30 minutes, Todd Griffiths made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Key Biscayne FC's Francisco Pope tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Francisco Pope showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Todd Griffiths, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. If Marty King had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Francisco Pope stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Todd Griffiths's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Todd Griffiths sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The supporters of Key Biscayne FC booed when Heavenly Hooters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jake Grayson didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Todd Griffiths in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Francisco Pope saved Key Biscayne FC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Todd Griffiths in the 55th minute of play forced Key Biscayne FC's goalkeeper Francisco Pope to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Todd Griffiths put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Francisco Pope. Key Biscayne FC's Francisco Pope played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Todd Griffiths in the 60th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Todd Griffiths in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Francisco Pope saved Key Biscayne FC from getting behind. Francisco Pope didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Todd Griffiths went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. 69 minutes into the match, Phil Naylor had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Francisco Pope. Key Biscayne FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Phil Naylor was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Heavenly Hooters's Pedro Luiz de Moraes was substituted for Marty King. Heavenly Hooters made a substitution. Todd Connery replaced Phil Naylor. In the 76th minute, Doug Gol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Francisco Pope took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Todd Griffiths, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Heavenly Hooters fans' excitement grew in the 78th match minute when Heavenly Hooters's Todd Griffiths looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tristan Alford in the 83rd minute of play forced Heavenly Hooters's goalkeeper Lennie Rusby to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd match minute, Heavenly Hooters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ross Clark to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Key Biscayne FC's Drew Latham got a free kick in the 84th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Brandon Wright during the 87th minute.
