After 3 played minutes Botafogo MZRJ got a freekick which was hit by Josué Matos. The supporters of Botafogo MZRJ booed when Finans Spor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edip Rahim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cezmi Suergin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wágner Queirós in the 11th minute of play. In the 12th match minute, Finans Spor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Atakan Öge to maneuver through the defense. Matías Brasil struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Cezmi Suergin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Botafogo MZRJ. Matías Brasil took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cezmi Suergin. Cezmi Suergin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Botafogo MZRJ's Juvenal Camargo got a free kick in the 18th minute. Abdullatif Azim, 19 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Matías Brasil blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cezmi Suergin having to make a save. In the 21st match minute, Finans Spor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Poyraz Toregün to maneuver through the defense. Cezmi Suergin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matías Brasil, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Mithat Akbaşak charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mithat Akbaşak the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mithat Akbaşak hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Matías Brasil took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cezmi Suergin. Cezmi Suergin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Cezmi Suergin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matías Brasil, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. 36 minutes into the match, Finans Spor's goal looked a bit too open when Matías Brasil came free, but Cezmi Suergin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Josué Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edip Rahim in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Férid Khalifa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Finans Spor were awarded a corner in the 44th minute after Botafogo MZRJ's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Abdullatif Azim took the corner. The corner led Finans Spor's Abdullatif Azim to fire away a dangerous shot which Férid Khalifa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 46 played minutes Finans Spor got a freekick which was hit by Poyraz Toregün. Botafogo MZRJ's Murillo Loureiro got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Matías Brasil made a kick off. After 57 minutes of play, Botafogo MZRJ's Matías Brasil made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cezmi Suergin was left in no man's land by his defense there! Botafogo MZRJ's Anderson Barral quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Mithat Akbaşak, made in the 60th minute of the game. After 64 minutes, Matías Brasil made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Finans Spor's Cezmi Suergin tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Finans Spor getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Mithat Akbaşak hit a great ball. If Edip Rahim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Josué Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th minute, Matías Brasil reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cezmi Suergin. The goal made the score 0-6. Matías Brasil scored 0-7 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cezmi Suergin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Matías Brasil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Matías Brasil took a quick shot and it went in 0-8 without a chance for Cezmi Suergin to make any attempt to save it. Cezmi Suergin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Matías Brasil in the 94th minute. Finans Spor's Cezmi Suergin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matías Brasil in the 96th minute of play. Botafogo MZRJ's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
