The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, Alonzo Gipils hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Loja S.C. booed when Vestfjorden FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ståle Stokkan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 18 minutes, Leonard Polek mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vestfjorden FK and the Loja S.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Leonard Polek kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. In the 20th match minute, Vestfjorden FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yngve Kaldestad to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Loja S.C.'s Alonzo Gipils got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 22nd minute of the match Yngve Kaldestad shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joel Caton showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Peres in the 24th minute of play forced Vestfjorden FK's goalkeeper Gil Ceni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gil Ceni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabricio Vedeja in the 25th minute of the match. Loja S.C.'s Joel Caton proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Loja S.C. from getting a goal against them. When Loja S.C.'s Felix Pascua in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The corner led Loja S.C.'s Felix Pascua to fire away a dangerous shot which Gil Ceni despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Fabian Sala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute, Felix Pascua ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gil Ceni was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Victor Peres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the match, Loja S.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Jørgen Holmgren came free, but Joel Caton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabricio Vedeja struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Gil Ceni didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Loja S.C..

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Felix Pascua stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Loja S.C. got a freekick which was hit by Alonzo Gipils. Gil Ceni didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Victor Peres went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Loja S.C. made a substitution. Luis-Antonio Barraza replaced Felix Pascua. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Peres in the 64th minute of play forced Vestfjorden FK's goalkeeper Gil Ceni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute Jørgen Holmgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Caton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gil Ceni made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Fabricio Vedeja sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Justavino Centeno kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gil Ceni. That made the score 0-4 in the 75 minute of play. Luis-Antonio Barraza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gil Ceni read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. Birk Johannessen hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. In the 86th minute, Thor Hesjedal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Vestfjorden FK's Leonard Polek got a free kick in the 88th minute. Dante Iratze's late challenge caught a Loja S.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dante Iratze helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Loja S.C. booed when Vestfjorden FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. The Vestfjorden FK fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Loja S.C. were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
