Kleanthis Koumentakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Salvino, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After a rather tough play, Panthiseiakos's Giorgos Mourouzis got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Kleanthis Koumentakis was a little too slow when Wilfredo Naelio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 1-1. 27 minutes into the game, Wilfredo Naelio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Kleanthis Koumentakis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fragiskos Skrekis in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Karl-Oskar Odén saved Halcones Azules from getting behind. In the 38th minute, Themos Papoulis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 43 minutes into the game, Arnulfo Rufo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Halcones Azules's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Panthiseiakos the free kick. In the 43rd minute, Arnulfo Rufo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

In the 50th minute, Themos Papoulis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 51 minutes into the match, Panthiseiakos's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Ticho came free, but Kleanthis Koumentakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kleanthis Koumentakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Salvino in the 63rd minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Halcones Azules's goal looked a bit too open when Themos Papoulis came free, but Karl-Oskar Odén reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 71 minutes into the match, Panthiseiakos's Fragiskos Skrekis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Karl-Oskar Odén narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 77th match minute, Halcones Azules was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Kauldi to maneuver through the defense. Halcones Azules made a substitution. Donato Baleren replaced Ricardo Kauldi. Halcones Azules's Feliberto Azubeli was substituted for Fidel Oalo. Ricardo Kauldi kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Halcones Azules's zone, Themos Papoulis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karl-Oskar Odén came out of the goal and Themos Papoulis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Panthiseiakos's Kleanthis Koumentakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilfredo Naelio in the 83rd minute of play. After 87 minutes, Zinon Batistas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Panthiseiakos and the Halcones Azules players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 88th minute of the match Enrique Nesor shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kleanthis Koumentakis showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 89 minutes Panthiseiakos's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Enrique Nesor who took care of the corner kick. Enrique Nesor made a great header on Halcones Azules's corner, it was just that Panthiseiakos's Kleanthis Koumentakis managed to reach the ball for a save. Kleanthis Koumentakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Salvino in the 90th minute of the match. Fragiskos Skrekis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Panthiseiakos's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Halcones Azules had won, even though Panthiseiakos had held more of the ball.
