Dario Opilano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ademar Negri in the 5th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Honorato Tauro in the 10th minute of play forced America FC's goalkeeper Ricardo Massa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 15 played minutes America FC got a freekick which was hit by Ademar Negri. Ricardo Massa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Gamus, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. 21 minutes had been played when some careless play by America FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Lisandro Ponce was slow to take the kick. During this time Copetonas AFC's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Copetonas AFC's corner Lisandro Ponce fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ricardo Massa quite easily take care of the ball. Gualter Romero hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Honorato Tauro in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ricardo Massa saved America FC from getting behind. In the 32nd minute Luis Gamus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Massa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Copetonas AFC's Dario Opilano got control of the ball when Osmar Rossi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luis Gamus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Ricardo Massa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Luis Gamus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dario Opilano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osmar Rossi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. America FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luiz Eduardo Maciel in the 58th minute. Luiz Eduardo Maciel made a great header on America FC's corner, it was just that Copetonas AFC's Dario Opilano managed to reach the ball for a save. The crowd rose to their feet as Copetonas AFC's Honorato Tauro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ricardo Massa. That made the score 0-1 after 62 minutes of play. With 66 minutes on the clock, Tadeo Txeru commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 65th minute, one of Copetonas AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Copetonas AFC. Dario Opilano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osmar Rossi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dario Opilano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ian Pimenta in the 75th minute of play. Luis Gamus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Copetonas AFC's Luis Gamus got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 81 minutes, Luis Gamus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Copetonas AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis Gamus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dario Opilano came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by America FC's Osmar Rossi. But to his dismay, Osmar Rossi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 87th minute, Honorato Tauro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Luiz Eduardo Maciel came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the America FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Eduardo Maciel couldn't finish the play. Clodoveo Roldan kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. 97 minutes into the match, Ademar Negri notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Copetonas AFC's Dario Opilano. Dario Opilano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. America FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
