Lauro Linhares made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Robert Zawadzki sent off a good shot on target. Marcinho das Neves lost his temper 10 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The supporters of Lech Max booed when CE LAJEADENSE RS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcinho das Neves didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Lech Max's Lucjan Kiepski tried to score from far away in the 12th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 15th minute, Eliézer Ramos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lauro Linhares made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Patryk Dulka sent off a good shot on target. In the 25th minute Eliézer Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ryszard Piechocki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Patryk Dulka fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lech Max's protests and gave Patryk Dulka a yellow card for diving instead. After 25 played minutes Lech Max got a freekick which was hit by Patryk Dulka. Lauro Linhares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robert Zawadzki, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. 31 minutes into the game, Glauco Paranaense cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Ryszard Piechocki was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match clock showed 34 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Robert Zawadzki sped through CE LAJEADENSE RS's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lauro Linhares. After some careless play in the Lech Max defense, Eliézer Ramos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ryszard Piechocki. The Lech Max fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ryszard Piechocki should have stopped the shot. Lech Max's Ryszard Piechocki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Glauco Paranaense in the 47th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

With a little luck, Lech Max's Ryszard Piechocki got control of the ball when Glauco Paranaense tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mariusz Kaczynski charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mariusz Kaczynski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 57 minutes into the match, CE LAJEADENSE RS's Oséas Miranda broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 58 minutes into the game, Glauco Paranaense recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ryszard Piechocki. Glauco Paranaense showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5. Lauro Linhares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patryk Dulka, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 68th minute, CE LAJEADENSE RS's Eliézer Ramos dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-6. 72 minutes into the match, CE LAJEADENSE RS's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Zawadzki came free, but Lauro Linhares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luís de Lara got free with Ryszard Piechocki in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Lech Max's Ryszard Piechocki got control of the ball when Glauco Paranaense tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 81 played minutes CE LAJEADENSE RS got a freekick which was hit by Caio Ramos. Ryszard Piechocki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís de Lara in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 84th minute, Mariusz Kaczynski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 89 minutes into the match, Lech Max's goal looked a bit too open when Luís de Lara came free, but Ryszard Piechocki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
