Lauro Linhares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 17 minutes into the match, CE LAJEADENSE RS's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Uxio came free, but Lauro Linhares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Glauco Paranaense who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Marco Edorta when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ismael Bernaldo charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. CE LAJEADENSE RS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Anjullan AFC the free kick. Luís de Lara kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
