The audience was convinced that Ulf Ros's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but José Maria Ortiz was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. The Rank 1 fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when Rank 1's Ulf Ros looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. José Maria Ortiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Börje Samuelsson in the 22nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Ulf Ros's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but José Maria Ortiz was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. If Raphael Meira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rank 1's Per-Olof Utter suffered a torn muscle in his foot after 26 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Rank 1's Eric Paulin was substituted for Per-Olof Utter. In the 28th match minute, Felizberto EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilian Abraão to maneuver through the defense. Raphael Meira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 35 minutes of play, Rank 1's Ulf Ros made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. José Maria Ortiz was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Rank 1's zone, Carlos Fernando Nascimento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Philip Kleen came out of the goal and Carlos Fernando Nascimento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Carlos Fernando Nascimento managed to get in a good position for a shot. Felizberto EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Fernando Nascimento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Philip Kleen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Rank 1 were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ulf Ros was the one to do the kick off. José Maria Ortiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulf Ros in the 53rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulf Ros in the 58th minute of play forced Felizberto EC's goalkeeper José Maria Ortiz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Felizberto EC defense, Sten Söderström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of José Maria Ortiz. The Felizberto EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that José Maria Ortiz should have stopped the shot. 63 minutes into the match, Felizberto EC's goal looked a bit too open when Ulf Ros came free, but José Maria Ortiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Maria Ortiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulf Ros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Börje Samuelsson struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. José Maria Ortiz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rank 1. Kevin Björling kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute, Kevin Björling hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 79thth minute of the game Ulf Ros who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Felizberto EC's José Maria Ortiz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marco Mattos during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Rank 1 booed when Felizberto EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Mattos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ulf Ros in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Maria Ortiz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 83rd match minute, Felizberto EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Mattos to maneuver through the defense. 85 minutes into the match, Felizberto EC's goal looked a bit too open when Ulf Ros came free, but José Maria Ortiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Rank 1 had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
