Videl Balaunde stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Teodosio Gonzalez's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. 11 minutes into the match, Vicente Leon's goal looked a bit too open when Teodosio Gonzalez came free, but Videl Balaunde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Videl Balaunde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eustaquio Gasteiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes into the match, Elvio Laurgain had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Videl Balaunde. Vicente Leon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elvio Laurgain was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. A collision led to Vicente Leon getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Urbano Batalle hit a great ball. Videl Balaunde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eustaquio Gasteiz in the 28th minute of play. Veto Trespalacios sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 31 minutes into the match, Iván Rozas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jimeno Rolado. Diablofaryd F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Iván Rozas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Jimeno Rolado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Veto Trespalacios in the 36th minute. Jimeno Rolado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iván Rozas in the 37th minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Gerardo Eron hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 47th minute, Elvio Laurgain left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Diablofaryd F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zayvius Jorge was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Vicente Leon's Veto Trespalacios got a free kick in the 59th minute. 63 minutes into the match, Vicente Leon's goalkeeper Videl Balaunde had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Teodosio Gonzalez. Marciano Jusepe kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Veto Trespalacios managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vicente Leon's supporters rose to their feet, but Veto Trespalacios was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jimeno Rolado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 73rd minute, Eustaquio Gasteiz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Videl Balaunde was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by José-Luis Henao during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Diablofaryd F.C. booed when Vicente Leon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. José-Luis Henao didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 84th minute of the match Gerardo Eron sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Videl Balaunde skillfully saved the ball. In the 85thth minute of the game Eustaquio Gasteiz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vicente Leon's Videl Balaunde was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Iván Rozas hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Vicente Leon's José-Luis Henao got a free kick in the 90th minute. In the 92nd minute Elvio Laurgain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Videl Balaunde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 96 minutes, Sandro Urquiza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vicente Leon and the Diablofaryd F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 95th minute, one of Vicente Leon:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Vicente Leon. In the 97th minute there was a penalty for Diablofaryd F.C.. Gerardo Eron stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Videl Balaunde. 2-4.
