After 5 minutes, Orlando Fernendo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Olimpo de Bahia Blanca and the FC GURZUN players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's Orlando Fernendo got a free kick in the 6th minute. After some careless play in the FC GURZUN defense, Alberto Belasko kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cătălin Dăianu. The FC GURZUN fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cătălin Dăianu should have stopped the shot. Eleuterio Sarracino struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Cătălin Dăianu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olimpo de Bahia Blanca. A collision led to Olimpo de Bahia Blanca getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Amadeo Fidele hit a great ball. FC GURZUN's Augustin Gorjanu got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 24th minute, Isaias Baladi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cătălin Dăianu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 28 minutes into the match, FC GURZUN's goal looked a bit too open when Isaias Baladi came free, but Cătălin Dăianu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute Isaias Baladi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cătălin Dăianu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Ceferino Janpier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee felt a red card was in order, 41 minutes into the game, when Orlando Fernendo put in a rough tackle. Orlando Fernendo kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Elvio Osorio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augustin Gorjanu in the 44th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Isaias Baladi to strike the kick off in the second half. When Ceferino Janpier fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's protests and gave Ceferino Janpier a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's Ceferino Janpier got a free kick in the 51st minute. Haroldo Erasto took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 54th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cătălin Dăianu. If Alberto Belasko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cătălin Dăianu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Belasko in the 92nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eleuterio Sarracino during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Iustinian Drăghincescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Olimpo de Bahia Blanca played a much better game than FC GURZUN and deserved their victory. The FC GURZUN players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
