Björn Ekegren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustin Pinochet in the 9th minute of the match. Björn Ekegren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niguel Eleysegui in the 12th minute of play. In the 18th match minute, SSC Ambrosini was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alf Kullgren to maneuver through the defense. In the 19th minute, Niguel Eleysegui left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CRUZ DEL SUR fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After having played for 21 minutes, Niguel Eleysegui managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CRUZ DEL SUR's supporters crossed their fingers, but Niguel Eleysegui was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 26 minutes into the match, CRUZ DEL SUR's goalkeeper Mónico Queirolo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Valdemar Åberg. The supporters of CRUZ DEL SUR booed when SSC Ambrosini was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olof Ersman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Björn Ekegren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niguel Eleysegui, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. 42 minutes into the game, Podador Arraño cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Björn Ekegren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Valdemar Åberg's late challenge caught a CRUZ DEL SUR's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valdemar Åberg helped the player get up and apologised. Valdemar Åberg hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. SSC Ambrosini's Björn Ekegren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Ignacio Berguecio in the 46th minute of play. In the 47th minute Niguel Eleysegui shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Björn Ekegren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The SSC Ambrosini players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. CRUZ DEL SUR were winning 0-2.

SSC Ambrosini's Olof Ersman got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 57th minute Valdemar Åberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mónico Queirolo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 59 minutes into the match, SSC Ambrosini's goal looked a bit too open when Agustin Pinochet came free, but Björn Ekegren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to SSC Ambrosini getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Olof Ersman hit a great ball. In the 64th minute, Nils-Emil Tunberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Björn Ekegren acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 65th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Aristeo Oquendo. Olof Ersman might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mónico Queirolo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Olof Ersman ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 79th minute, Niguel Eleysegui ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Björn Ekegren was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. 82 minutes into the game, Agustin Pinochet was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CRUZ DEL SUR's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SSC Ambrosini the free kick. After a rather tough play, CRUZ DEL SUR's Agustin Pinochet got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Björn Ekegren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niguel Eleysegui, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, SSC Ambrosini's Björn Ekegren got control of the ball when Abdul Esquerra tried to sneak it across the goal line.
