Arí Netto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leandro Vasco in the 18th minute of play. Reginaldo Lira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Enrique Rosalio made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Jumentus Rock Club's Reginaldo Lira slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Enrique Rosalio. That made the score 2-0 after 20 minutes of play. Deportivo Messina's Genaro Herauso got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Messina's Javier Roderigo got a free kick in the 25th minute. When Valdomiro de Almeida came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Jumentus Rock Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valdomiro de Almeida couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Jumentus Rock Club getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Michel Pirani hit a great ball. In the 32nd play minute Valdomiro de Almeida came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Enrique Rosalio. 3-0. In the 35th match minute, Deportivo Messina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felipe Domingues to maneuver through the defense. When Felipe Domingues came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Deportivo Messina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felipe Domingues couldn't finish the play. Elivélton Massa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

When Jumentus Rock Club's Valdomiro de Almeida in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Enrique Rosalio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. 68 minutes into the match, Elivélton Massa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Enrique Rosalio. Deportivo Messina's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elivélton Massa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Reginaldo Lira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Enrique Rosalio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Gustavo Bermudo fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo Messina's protests and gave Gustavo Bermudo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Jumentus Rock Club booed when Deportivo Messina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Bermudo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jumentus Rock Club's Elivélton Massa got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elivélton Massa in the 80th minute of play forced Deportivo Messina's goalkeeper Enrique Rosalio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th minute Valdomiro de Almeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Rosalio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdomiro de Almeida in the 91st minute of play forced Deportivo Messina's goalkeeper Enrique Rosalio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Deportivo Messina's Enrique Rosalio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdomiro de Almeida in the 94th minute of play. Gabriel Donzel kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Deportivo Messina's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
