The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Rua da Pinga's zone, Radoslaw Czeszyk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henrique Linhares came out of the goal and Radoslaw Czeszyk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Witold Matela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Humberto Ornelas in the 8th minute of the match. In the 13th minute, Humberto Ornelas made a precise shot to the right of Witold Matela. FC Gdansk36's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 16th minute, João Balsemão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 17 played minutes Rua da Pinga got a freekick which was hit by Higino Castro. Humberto Ornelas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rd match minute, Rua da Pinga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvano Trigueiro to maneuver through the defense. Joaquim Carvalhais hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. After 27 minutes, Higino Castro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rua da Pinga and the FC Gdansk36 players grew even worse after the yellow card. Witold Matela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Ornelas in the 34th minute of play. In the 36th minute, Adérito Vilaça left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rua da Pinga fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 39th minute of the game Bruno Coutinho made a throw-in which Humberto Ornelas played forward. Witold Matela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Humberto Ornelas in the 39th minute of the match. 46 minutes into the match, FC Gdansk36's goal looked a bit too open when João Balsemão came free, but Witold Matela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 49th minute, Higino Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The FC Gdansk36 players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Rua da Pinga were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Humberto Ornelas to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Humberto Ornelas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Witold Matela was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. After some careless play in the Rua da Pinga defense, Maciej Zawada kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Henrique Linhares. The Rua da Pinga fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Henrique Linhares should have stopped the shot. When André Castanheira fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rua da Pinga's protests and gave André Castanheira a yellow card for diving instead. After 79 played minutes Rua da Pinga got a freekick which was hit by André Castanheira. Henrique Linhares came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by FC Gdansk36's Konrad Kanczuszewski. But to his dismay, Konrad Kanczuszewski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. The supporters of Rua da Pinga booed when FC Gdansk36 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Konrad Kanczuszewski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rua da Pinga's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
