After a rather tough play, FC Lugano's Stephen Vicente got a free kick in the 4th minute. Dieter Gärtner was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Vinicio Tibalt showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. FC Lugano's Pornsak Seearamrungruang got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 15 minutes FC Lugano's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Santo Nuñez who took care of the corner kick. 15 minutes into the game, one of FC Lugano:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Dieter Gärtner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vinicio Tibalt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd minute Florian Diederich shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alonzo Baristo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pornsak Seearamrungruang in the 24th minute of play forced KYRA FC's goalkeeper Alonzo Baristo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Dieter Gärtner managed to avoid a goal in the 26thth minute, when KYRA FC's Santo Nuñez fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Santo Nuñez sped through FC Lugano's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dieter Gärtner. Stephen Vicente took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 30th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alonzo Baristo. KYRA FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Alonzo Baristo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pornsak Seearamrungruang in the 32nd minute of play. In the 35th minute, Odysseus De Souza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Lugano fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 39th minute, Vinicio Tibalt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pornsak Seearamrungruang made a kick off. FC Lugano's Odysseus De Souza got a good chance for a goal in the 50th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 51st match minute, KYRA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marciano Argi to maneuver through the defense. When Bodo Jermann fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick.
