The audience thought a goal was coming when Rayanne Saurat got free with Dirk Jan Snoeks in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 16 minutes into the match, AVV Zeeburgia's Kurt van Veldhuizen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gameiro Loth narrowly saved just below the crossbar. AVV Zeeburgia appealed in vain for a penalty, the referee looked over at the linesman, but the flag stayed down. No Penalty. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rayanne Saurat to strike the kick off in the second half. The AVV Zeeburgia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dirk Jan Snoeks should have stopped the shot. Elegance Dijon's Gameiro Loth proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Elegance Dijon from getting a goal against them. AVV Zeeburgia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hubert Wibier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Kurt van Veldhuizen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
