The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaston Alfonso in the 5th minute of play forced FÊNIX F.C.'s goalkeeper Damian Fetor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FÊNIX F.C.'s Damian Fetor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jimeno Berdoi in the 7th minute of play. Damian Fetor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jimeno Berdoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes had been played when some careless play by FÊNIX F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Kader Wing was slow to take the kick. During this time EL FIRULETE's players had a chance to rest. After a rather tough play, FÊNIX F.C.'s Kauã Moreno got a free kick in the 17th minute. Damian Fetor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimeno Berdoi in the 18th minute of play. Damian Fetor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enrique Barto, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Hermengildo Fiz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bengt Bouchard in the 22nd minute. When Enrique Barto came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the EL FIRULETE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Enrique Barto couldn't finish the play. Damian Fetor didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Enrique Barto went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Hermengildo Fiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marquinhos Teixeira in the 38th minute of the match. EL FIRULETE's Hermengildo Fiz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save EL FIRULETE from getting a goal against them. Hermengildo Fiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kauã Moreno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bengt Bouchard in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hermengildo Fiz saved EL FIRULETE from getting behind. Hermengildo Fiz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bengt Bouchard, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. EL FIRULETE's Christian Wood was substituted for Jimeno Berdoi. Hermengildo Fiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marquinhos Teixeira in the 68th minute of play. FÊNIX F.C.'s Genílson Ferraz was substituted for João Carlos Medeiros. Bengt Bouchard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, FÊNIX F.C.'s Pedro Luís Pereira got a free kick in the 78th minute. Damian Fetor made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Gaston Alfonso sent off a good shot on target. EL FIRULETE's Hermengildo Fiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marquinhos Teixeira in the 83rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eugenios Papadogiorgakis during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of FÊNIX F.C. booed when EL FIRULETE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugenios Papadogiorgakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
