AlmaToran's Loreto Palanques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vassilis Tournas in the 31st minute of play. Loreto Palanques stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vassilis Tournas's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. A collision led to Tabachana F.C. getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Lambis Savvakis hit a great ball. In the 47th match minute, AlmaToran was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arotza Dobarral to maneuver through the defense. Rodrigo Garival was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 48 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 48th minute of the game. One of AlmaToran:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tabachana F.C.:s goal. Loreto Palanques had in the 50thth minute some difficulties stopping Michalis Kalamaridis's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vassilis Tournas was the one to do the kick off. Loreto Palanques took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vassilis Tournas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 59 minutes, Vassilis Tournas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tabachana F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Vassilis Tournas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
