Filiph Hägg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Marcelo Gallardo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Filiph Hägg having to make a save. Franco Armani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tim Lund in the 12th minute of the match. In the 13th minute Marcelo Gallardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filiph Hägg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Adrogue FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nils-Åke Gunnarsson came free, but Franco Armani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Merrill Pryor hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Adrogue FC were awarded a corner in the 26th minute after Aston Villa FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ismael Abalos took the corner. After taking down the ball on Adrogue FC's corner Marcelo Gallardo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Filiph Hägg quite easily take care of the ball. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Ramiro Funes Mori put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Filiph Hägg. Filiph Hägg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelo Gallardo in the 29th minute of play. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 60 minutes had been played when some careless play by Aston Villa FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ismael Abalos was slow to take the kick. During this time Adrogue FC's players had a chance to rest. In the 62nd minute Marcelo Gallardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filiph Hägg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70th minute, Aston Villa FC's Nils-Åke Gunnarsson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Franco Armani. Franco Armani yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. In the 76th match minute, Aston Villa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jörgen Dalkvist to maneuver through the defense. Marcelo Gallardo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Filiph Hägg having to make a save. Juan Pablo Angel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Filiph Hägg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Pablo Angel in the 90th minute of the match. Franco Armani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nils-Åke Gunnarsson in the 92nd minute of play. Aston Villa FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
