The supporters of Team Rocco booed when Strömsbro IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Nyman didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 9th minute Lennart Abrahamsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivar Albohm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erik Tomasson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Ivar Albohm made a huge save. 15 minutes into the match, Strömsbro IF's goalkeeper Ivar Albohm had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ingvar Josefsson. Strömsbro IF's Ivar Albohm proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Strömsbro IF from getting a goal against them. Giga Mønster blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Christer Kullander having to make a save. The supporters of Team Rocco booed when Strömsbro IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonatan Gabrielsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Strömsbro IF's Giga Mønster sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Christer Kullander narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Jonas Kalfhage kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ivar Albohm. That made the score 1-0 in the 30 minute of play. 33 minutes into the game, Giga Mønster cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Christer Kullander was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 40 minutes into the match, Strömsbro IF's goalkeeper Ivar Albohm had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jonas Kalfhage. Giga Mønster received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Christer Kullander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ivar Albohm made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Jonas Kalfhage sent off a good shot on target. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lennart Abrahamsson to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Strömsbro IF's Kalle Blomqvist seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Kalle Blomqvist the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Strömsbro IF protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Kalle Blomqvist had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Kalle Blomqvist kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Ivar Albohm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erik Tomasson in the 57th minute of the match. Erik Tomasson scored 2-2 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ivar Albohm, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Leif Billberg got a throw-in 66 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Lennart Abrahamsson. Strömsbro IF's attentive Alvar Mellbad managed to snatch the ball when Ingvar Josefsson made a throw-in in the 72nd minute of the game. 84 minutes into the game, Team Rocco's Jan-Olof Hedling nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ivar Albohm made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. A collision led to Strömsbro IF getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Börge Kristiansson hit a great ball. Ivar Albohm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan-Olof Hedling, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Ivar Albohm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erik Tomasson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jan-Olof Hedling scored 5-2 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ivar Albohm, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Team Rocco's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
