If Zacarias Eron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Leones FC's Ignacio Cayo got a free kick in the 13th minute. Joachim Gregersson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 14thth minute, Amador Jakue skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a defensive mix-up in Leones FC's zone, Joachim Gregersson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amador Jakue came out of the goal and Joachim Gregersson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Leones FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Nicanor Florinio hit a great ball. Leones FC's Amador Jakue played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruben Ostargi in the 26th minute of play. Amador Jakue made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Joachim Gregersson sent off a good shot on target. 33 minutes into the match, Wilfredo Quinto notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Peñaloza's Gustav Wallengren. Gustav Wallengren was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Delmiro Cai during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Alfonso Cordarrel kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Wilfredo Quinto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 41st match minute, Leones FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilfredo Quinto to maneuver through the defense. Joachim Gregersson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Amador Jakue made a huge save. Leonel Rayman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amador Jakue having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wilfredo Quinto to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Leones FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Nicanor Florinio hit a great ball. Peñaloza's Joachim Gregersson got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Matias Montes during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Matias Montes hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Leones FC's Alejo Louis got a free kick in the 57th minute. Amador Jakue took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonel Rayman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Peñaloza booed when Leones FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicanor Florinio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 75th match minute, Leones FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matias Montes to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th minute Joachim Gregersson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amador Jakue saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonel Rayman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Leonel Rayman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amador Jakue showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joachim Gregersson, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Ruben Ostargi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Peñaloza defense, Nicolas Bizi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gustav Wallengren. The Peñaloza fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gustav Wallengren should have stopped the shot. The Peñaloza supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Leones FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Leones FC.
