Nicolas Kepa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ingvar Sjögren, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Estudiantes de La Plata's Nicolas Kepa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ingvar Sjögren in the 16th minute of play. After 21 minutes, Ingvar Sjögren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vykans Vikingar and the Estudiantes de La Plata players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 21 played minutes Vykans Vikingar got a freekick which was hit by Ingvar Sjögren. Mats Sundberg made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Eliseo Orlondon sent off a good shot on target. 29 minutes into the match, Estudiantes de La Plata's goal looked a bit too open when Torbjörn Ekblom came free, but Nicolas Kepa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Jens Hafström came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Vykans Vikingar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jens Hafström couldn't finish the play. Estudiantes de La Plata's Nicolas Kepa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torbjörn Ekblom in the 32nd minute of play. In the 34th minute of the match Fredrik Molander shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nicolas Kepa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Eliseo Orlondon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes into the match, Vykans Vikingar's goalkeeper Mats Sundberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eliseo Orlondon. After 43 played minutes Vykans Vikingar got a freekick which was hit by Kasper Stålman. Eliseo Orlondon succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 44th playminute. Estudiantes de La Plata made a substitution. Eugenio Gartzea replaced Santiago Iaki.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Torbjörn Ekblom got free with Nicolas Kepa in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
