Salelles's defense didn't have a chance, in the 5th minute, when Ignacio Derwin scored to the left of an out of position Ahmed Venon, making the score, 1-0. The supporters of Salelles booed when Marlin FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustin Orlandus didn't get a good kick on the ball. Salelles's Ahmed Venon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ignacio Derwin in the 14th minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Marlin FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aniceto Sarrate came free, but Ambrosio Quilino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fidel Astudillo in the 26th minute of play forced Marlin FC's goalkeeper Ambrosio Quilino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Salelles's goalkeeper Ahmed Venon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aristides Ieltxu. In the 47th minute Ignacio Derwin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmed Venon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fidel Astudillo was the one to do the kick off. Mohamed Reina charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mohamed Reina the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Marlin FC booed when Salelles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mohamed Reina didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Salelles's Padro Cabrera got a free kick in the 60th minute. Ahmed Venon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignacio Derwin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marlin FC's Ambrosio Quilino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Marlin FC from getting a goal against them. Aristides Ieltxu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ignacio Derwin in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ahmed Venon saved Salelles from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ignacio Derwin in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ahmed Venon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Salelles's Ahmed Venon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ignacio Derwin in the 88th minute of play. After 91 played minutes Marlin FC got a freekick which was hit by Agustin Orlandus. Mohamed Reina struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Ambrosio Quilino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Salelles. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Marlin FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Salelles had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
