The crowd rose to their feet as Dolf Schoonderwoerd kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Zoran Simović. That made the score 1-0 in the 38 minute of play. Victoriano Iratzeder kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. A collision led to The Underdogs getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Robin Boelens hit a great ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Victoriano Iratzeder to make the kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 54 minutes, Jan Wessel successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Victoriano Iratzeder could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Jan Wessel made a huge save. After 58 played minutes The Underdogs got a freekick which was hit by Emil Kyurpanov. A collision led to The Underdogs getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Emil Kyurpanov hit a great ball. Jan Wessel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victoriano Iratzeder in the 63rd minute of play. In the 67th minute Dolf Schoonderwoerd shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zoran Simović saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 69 minutes into the match, 17 de enero team's goal looked a bit too open when Piearres Olalla came free, but Zoran Simović reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Piearres Olalla hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Fabian Costin hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Zoran Simović took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dolf Schoonderwoerd, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Piearres Olalla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jan Wessel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Basarab Ipate in the 92nd minute. The supporters of 17 de enero team booed when The Underdogs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernan Arixo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, The Underdogs could leave the field as winners, despite 17 de enero team having more of the ball for most of the match.
