Santiago Mino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sérgio Perez having to interfere. Sérgio Perez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Maximino Gonzalez went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Alfredo Joey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Ricciardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santiago Mino in the 12th minute of play forced Classe A Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Sérgio Perez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute of the match, Santiago Mino tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sérgio Perez saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Sérgio Perez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santiago Mino in the 14th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Classe A Futebol Clube's Diego Ribas got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 17th minute of the match Saul Felo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sérgio Perez skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Palermo's zone, Sebastian Vettel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredo Joey came out of the goal and Sebastian Vettel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Santiago Mino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Sérgio Perez made a huge save. 24 minutes into the match, Palermo's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Vettel came free, but Alfredo Joey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute, Paulinho Simão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 26 minutes into the match, Classe A Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Sérgio Perez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcelino Chaime. Sérgio Perez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santiago Mino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Ricciardo in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfredo Joey saved Palermo from getting behind. Alfredo Joey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Vettel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Classe A Futebol Clube's Sérgio Perez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelino Chaime in the 60th minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, Classe A Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Arnoldo Medina came free, but Sérgio Perez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 62 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Palermo's Arnoldo Medina fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. 70 minutes into the match, Palermo's goalkeeper Alfredo Joey had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pierre Gasly. Diego Ribas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 71stth minute tested the skills of Alfredo Joey when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcelino Chaime in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sérgio Perez saved Classe A Futebol Clube from getting behind. Daniel Ricciardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Palermo made a substitution. Patryk Wiater replaced Marcelino Chaime. Sérgio Perez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximino Gonzalez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 86 minutes had been played when some careless play by Classe A Futebol Clube's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Saul Felo was slow to take the kick. During this time Palermo's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Patryk Wiater managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 92nd minute Arnoldo Medina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sérgio Perez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 93 minutes into the match, Classe A Futebol Clube's Diego Ribas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfredo Joey narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Daniel Ricciardo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfredo Joey read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play.
