Spectators: 387 (Terracing: 291, Seating: 89, VIP seats: 7) Golo Phoenix made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 5th match minute, FC Berea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgar Panțâru to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Golo Phoenix took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Dacian Iurea to make any attempt to save it. Dacian Iurea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nistor Vermeşan in the 13th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Ilieș came free, but Dacian Ghițescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Felix Mihăilescu got a free kick in the 15th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sebastian Ilieș during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca booed when FC Berea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Ilieș didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, FC Berea's Sebastian Ilieș got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Dacian Iurea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aristide Fetea in the 24th minute. Dacian Iurea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Mihăilescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Sebastian Ilieș hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. 44 minutes into the game, Golo Phoenix recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dacian Iurea. Golo Phoenix showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Basarab Arotăriței was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's goalkeeper Dacian Ghițescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Basarab Arotăriței. Dacian Iurea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Golo Phoenix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Berea's Dacian Iurea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aristide Fetea in the 56th minute of play. FC Berea's Costel Buhăescu was substituted for Niculae Frumuzache. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aristide Fetea in the 65th minute of play forced FC Berea's goalkeeper Dacian Iurea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 66 minutes FC Berea's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Lucian Şimonca who took care of the corner kick. Dacian Iurea came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Nistor Vermeşan. But to his dismay, Nistor Vermeşan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca made a substitution. Damian Cârlan replaced Petruț Crivac. In the 84th match minute, FC Berea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petrică Gherghe to maneuver through the defense. Moise Boacă charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Moise Boacă the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 91 minutes into the game, Petrică Gherghe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Berea's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca the free kick. When the referee ended the match the PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
