Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 52 minutes, Timoteo Abreu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the A.C ALDO BONZI and the ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 52 played minutes A.C ALDO BONZI got a freekick which was hit by Timoteo Abreu. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elpidio Francis got free with Sebastián Saja in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sebastián Saja made an important save on a dangerous shot by Miguel Prosperi in the 63rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Kisielka in the 65th minute of play forced ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goalkeeper Branislav Velchevski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sebastián Saja was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Elpidio Francis showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 66 minute of play. Elpidio Francis who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 69thth minute tested the skills of Sebastián Saja when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Elpidio Francis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Sebastián Saja made a huge save.
