In the 7th match minute, Ace fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ozzy Gildea to maneuver through the defense. Dominic Clemence sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Gordon Froggatt came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Ace fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gordon Froggatt couldn't finish the play. In the 15th minute Johnny Boyd shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lance La Forte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Dominic Clemence came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the AFC Raleigh fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dominic Clemence couldn't finish the play. In the 19th minute of the match, Dominic Clemence got a very nice opportunity to score, but Brendon Denham was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Brendon Denham didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when AFC Raleigh's Michael Broom shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-0 in the ordered_time% minute. If Johnny Boyd had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gordon Froggatt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brendon Denham made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Dominic Clemence sent off a good shot on target. Dominic Clemence could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Brendon Denham made a huge save. If Michael Broom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gordon Froggatt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Lance La Forte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 45 minutes of play, Ace fc's Johnny Boyd made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lance La Forte was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Michael Broom to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Johnny Boyd managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ace fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Johnny Boyd was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lance La Forte breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Dominic Clemence came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the AFC Raleigh fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dominic Clemence couldn't finish the play. When Wally Cheesman fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AFC Raleigh's protests and gave Wally Cheesman a yellow card for diving instead. Wally Cheesman kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Gordon Froggatt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 81 minutes into the match, Ace fc's goal looked a bit too open when Michael Broom came free, but Brendon Denham reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 84 minutes into the match, AFC Raleigh's goal looked a bit too open when Gordon Froggatt came free, but Lance La Forte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ozzy Gildea fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ace fc's protests and gave Ozzy Gildea a yellow card for diving instead. Ozzy Gildea kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Lance La Forte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gordon Froggatt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Ace fc booed when AFC Raleigh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wally Cheesman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Johnny Boyd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ace fc's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
