Cornel Mihai kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. The supporters of Cetatea Suceava booed when Minerul Baita -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cosmin Bobeica didn't get a good kick on the ball. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After having played for 31 minutes, Petru Geamănu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cetatea Suceava's supporters crossed their fingers, but Petru Geamănu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Cosmin Bobeica came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Minerul Baita -MM- fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cosmin Bobeica couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 38 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Cornel Mihai sped through Cetatea Suceava's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Claudiu Hațegan. Cosmin Bobeica sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Cosmin Bobeica had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute, Cornel Mihai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eusebiu Şimonca was the one to do the kick off. After 96 minutes of play, Cetatea Suceava's Albion Rahmani made it 3-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aurelian Vârlan was left in no man's land by his defense there!
