Spectators: 406 (Terracing: 305, Seating: 93, VIP seats: 8) Dacian Patrichi made the kick off and thus started the match. 4 minutes into the match, Rovine Craiova's goalkeeper Cezar Ghinescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vali Ghelmegean. In the 8th minute Matei Comișel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nechifor Epure saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 18 played minutes Rovine Craiova got a freekick which was hit by Iordache Andone. In the 19th minute of the match Horia Berceanu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cezar Ghinescu skillfully saved the ball. Nechifor Epure showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dacian Patrichi, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Cezar Ghinescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iulian Negulescu in the 23rd minute of play. Nechifor Epure made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dacian Patrichi in the 28th minute of play. Rovine Craiova's Cezar Ghinescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ioan Oltean in the 31st minute of play. In the 36th minute Ioan Oltean shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cezar Ghinescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sandu Munteanu took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nechifor Epure. Nechifor Epure dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Vali Ghelmegean received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Cezar Ghinescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Vali Ghelmegean made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Rovine Craiova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Viorel Apolzan to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Ioan Oltean put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Cezar Ghinescu. When Iulian Negulescu came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Academia Rio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iulian Negulescu couldn't finish the play. 68 minutes into the game, Dacian Patrichi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Nechifor Epure was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 71st minute, Teodor Dan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dacian Patrichi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Nechifor Epure tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dacian Patrichi hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In the 84th minute, Vali Ghelmegean ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cezar Ghinescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Academia Rio's Nechifor Epure proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Academia Rio from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Academia Rio booed when Rovine Craiova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viorel Apolzan didn't get a good kick on the ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
