The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Alexandria Team08's Valentin Smarandache got a free kick in the 5th minute. The long shot by Valentin Rareș in the 6th minute really tested Traian Sucigan's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 7th match minute, FC Steaua Pildesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolae Crăiță to maneuver through the defense. In the 14thth minute of the game Bogdan Goma who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Steaua Pildesti's Marius Cănănău was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 17 minutes into the game, Bogdan Goma cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Marius Cănănău was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 19 played minutes Alexandria Team08 got a freekick which was hit by Niculae Corvin. Marius Cănănău showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valentin Smarandache in the 25th minute of the match. In the 27th match minute, FC Steaua Pildesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cornel Rogozea to maneuver through the defense. Marius Cănănău made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niculae Corvin in the 32nd minute of play. A collision led to Alexandria Team08 getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Vintilă Bâru hit a great ball. Traian Sucigan acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 35th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Andrei Voicescu. Robert Achifoaiei kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Mircea Ghionescu kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. A hard shot by Valer Uncheşelu from long distance, 44 minutes into the match, got Traian Sucigan's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. With a little luck, Alexandria Team08's Traian Sucigan got control of the ball when Octav Mergea tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Cornel Rogozea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Traian Sucigan having to interfere. 59 minutes into the match, FC Steaua Pildesti's goal looked a bit too open when Vintilă Bâru came free, but Marius Cănănău reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to FC Steaua Pildesti getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Valer Cobâlcescu hit a great ball. Marius Cănănău took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vintilă Bâru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Robert Achifoaiei took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 65th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Traian Sucigan. Alexandria Team08's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rareș Ficsinescu in the 69th minute of play forced Alexandria Team08's goalkeeper Traian Sucigan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Alexandria Team08 booed when FC Steaua Pildesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cornel Rogozea didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Alexandria Team08's Niculae Corvin got a free kick in the 81st minute. Traian Dăianu kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Niculae Corvin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 90 minutes into the game, Bogdan Goma recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marius Cănănău. Bogdan Goma showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Valer Cobâlcescu hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Vintilă Bâru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Alexandria Team08 walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
