The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pegaso FC's Imran Johnsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sergio Austin in the 6th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andres Pello in the 7th minute of play forced Congo Bongo's goalkeeper Máté Márton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Imran Johnsson came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Congo Bongo's Damaso Sancho. But to his dismay, Damaso Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 12 minutes into the match, Pegaso FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sergio Austin came free, but Imran Johnsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Congo Bongo booed when Pegaso FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inocencio Columbo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pegaso FC's Imran Johnsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damaso Sancho in the 22nd minute of play. In the 25th minute, Orlando Beti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Imran Johnsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergio Austin in the 32nd minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Pegaso FC's goal looked a bit too open when Froilan Iaki came free, but Imran Johnsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Máté Márton had great luck who in the 35thth minute grab hold of the ball when Andres Pello from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Imran Johnsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sergio Austin, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 45th minute Sergio Austin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Imran Johnsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Imran Johnsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damaso Sancho in the 47th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Damaso Sancho to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dante Casado in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Máté Márton saved Congo Bongo from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Froilan Iaki in the 60th minute of play forced Pegaso FC's goalkeeper Imran Johnsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Máté Márton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dante Casado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65th minute Dante Casado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Máté Márton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 67th minute, Caleb Law hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pegaso FC's Juan Matos was substituted for Marco Nocedo. Caleb Law hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In the 73rd minute Ingvar Andersson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Imran Johnsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pegaso FC's Imran Johnsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Pegaso FC from getting a goal against them. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Congo Bongo walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
