Frasco Esquivel came out of the goal and Eusebio Lehoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 30 minutes into the match, AFC United's goal looked a bit too open when Leandro Cordarin came free, but Frasco Esquivel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leandro Cordarin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eustaquio Vesga got free with Abel Neron in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Deportivo Balvanera's Abel Neron proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo Balvanera from getting a goal against them. AFC United's Frasco Esquivel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramiro Quin in the 44th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Ekialde Balsera took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Abel Neron to make any attempt to save it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

53 minutes into the match, Deportivo Balvanera's goal looked a bit too open when Balesio Leiva came free, but Abel Neron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th match minute, AFC United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roegelio Moyua to maneuver through the defense. After 60 minutes, Eusebio Lehoi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportivo Balvanera and the AFC United players grew even worse after the yellow card. Deportivo Balvanera's Bonifacio Petrigai was substituted for Jose Aritza. Deportivo Balvanera's Teo Oinatz was substituted for Octavio Pes. Eusebio Lehoi kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. After having played for 93 minutes, Gilberto Inautzi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Balvanera's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilberto Inautzi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. AFC United were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Deportivo Balvanera for a fine match.
