Hotman El Abidine Ben Ali recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. fc pertotal's Hotman El Abidine Ben Ali got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 37 played minutes VM HOPVELDEN got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Mattheijs. A sloppy throw-in by Joop Hennes in the 39th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by VM HOPVELDEN's Ritchie Van Craen. When Youri Spailer fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored fc pertotal's protests and gave Youri Spailer a yellow card for diving instead. Youri Spailer hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Bruno Bouman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Engelborghs in the 48th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Youri Spailer to make the kick off. Rens Christiaens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ignacio Egoi having to interfere. Rens Christiaens might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ignacio Egoi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rens Christiaens ran back to his position shaking his head. Bruno Bouman came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by fc pertotal's Hotman El Abidine Ben Ali. But to his dismay, Hotman El Abidine Ben Ali quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Bruno Bouman was out of position in the 70 minute of play, and Olliver Bautmans capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Olliver Bautmans really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. Rens Christiaens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. fc pertotal made a substitution. Rudy Verheije replaced Miguel Engelborghs. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Tony Degraef took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Bruno Bouman to make any attempt to save it. A collision led to VM HOPVELDEN getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Franky Goolen hit a great ball. Hotman El Abidine Ben Ali might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bruno Bouman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hotman El Abidine Ben Ali ran back to his position shaking his head. After 84 played minutes fc pertotal got a freekick which was hit by Ewout Van Aertvinck. Tommi Armentier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Bouman having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Hotman El Abidine Ben Ali took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Bruno Bouman to make any attempt to save it. 96 minutes into the game, Tony Degraef cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Bruno Bouman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The VM HOPVELDEN fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. fc pertotal were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
