Ruud van Nistelrooij blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bruno Antognoni having to make a save. Bruno Antognoni made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Ruud van Nistelrooij sent off a good shot on target. In the 12th minute Björn Tingelholm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Balestra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. San Felice a Ema U.L.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gustavo Gomes in the 14th minute. Björn Tingelholm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Donato Balestra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Björn Tingelholm in the 20th minute of the match. Björn Tingelholm's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Donato Balestra read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Björn Tingelholm in the 36th minute of play forced Calenzano's goalkeeper Donato Balestra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 39 minutes into the match, Calenzano's goal looked a bit too open when Björn Tingelholm came free, but Donato Balestra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antonello Di Toma tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Donato Balestra. A nice corner shot did that Gustavo Gomes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Donato Balestra quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After the first half San Felice a Ema U.L. were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ruud van Nistelrooij was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Björn Tingelholm in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Donato Balestra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bruno Antognoni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruud van Nistelrooij in the 56th minute of the match. In the 64th minute Yaniusky Pardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Antognoni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66thth minute of the game Björn Tingelholm who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Calenzano's Donato Balestra was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arturo Di Matteo in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bruno Antognoni prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alessandro Giocondo in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bruno Antognoni saved San Felice a Ema U.L. from getting behind. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched San Felice a Ema U.L. eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
