Marco Silvestri made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Marcin Cebula sent off a good shot on target. 8 minutes into the match, Marcin Cebula notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of SPALLETTE RETURNS's Marco Silvestri. Marco Silvestri was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Antonio Nero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Peter Schmeichel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Peter Schmeichel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Nero in the 17th minute of play. A.C. Patagonia's Dariusz Wos got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 22 played minutes SPALLETTE RETURNS got a freekick which was hit by Konrad De Winter. A.C. Patagonia's Peter Schmeichel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonio Nero in the 29th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, SPALLETTE RETURNS's goal looked a bit too open when Marcin Cebula came free, but Marco Silvestri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 34 minutes into the game, A.C. Patagonia's Dariusz Wos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marco Silvestri made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in A.C. Patagonia's zone, Antonio Nero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Peter Schmeichel came out of the goal and Antonio Nero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 42nd minute Antonio Nero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Schmeichel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Ludwig Wassenius took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Marco Silvestri to make any attempt to save it.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Augusto Bevilacqua to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, SPALLETTE RETURNS's goal looked a bit too open when Marcin Cebula came free, but Marco Silvestri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marco Silvestri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcin Cebula in the 57th minute of play. SPALLETTE RETURNS's attentive Amedeo Palmieri managed to snatch the ball when Demy Vennegoor made a throw-in in the 60th minute of the game. Marco Silvestri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ludwig Wassenius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marco Silvestri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amerigo Ianni in the 63rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in SPALLETTE RETURNS's zone, Aldo Di Carlo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marco Silvestri came out of the goal and Aldo Di Carlo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 73rd minute of the match, Augusto Bevilacqua tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Peter Schmeichel saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Aldo Di Carlo struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Marco Silvestri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for A.C. Patagonia. Marco Silvestri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustav Siöman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 83 minutes into the match, A.C. Patagonia's goal looked a bit too open when Antonio Nero came free, but Peter Schmeichel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 84 minutes into the game, Felice Dominici was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SPALLETTE RETURNS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave A.C. Patagonia the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aldo Di Carlo in the 85th minute of play forced SPALLETTE RETURNS's goalkeeper Marco Silvestri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peter Schmeichel was out of position in the 89 minute of play, and Antonio Nero capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Antonio Nero really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. Aldo Di Carlo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marco Silvestri read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. Peter Schmeichel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felice Dominici in the 97th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The A.C. Patagonia fans cheered their team off the field, for while SPALLETTE RETURNS had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
