Herta Budino's defense didn't have a chance, in the 9th minute, when Arturo Di Matteo scored to the left of an out of position Fortunato Sangermano, making the score, 1-0. Donato Balestra didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Davide Rinaldi went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Fortunato Sangermano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arturo Di Matteo in the 18th minute. After some careless play in the Herta Budino defense, Arturo Di Matteo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fortunato Sangermano. The Herta Budino fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fortunato Sangermano should have stopped the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

With a little luck, Calenzano's Donato Balestra got control of the ball when Davide Rinaldi tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Davide Rinaldi took a quick shot and it went in 3-3 without a chance for Donato Balestra to make any attempt to save it. Calenzano made a substitution.
