The supporters of Australian Youth Academy booed when Galatasaray SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arto Kaldmaa didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Galatasaray SK's Gunnar Taevere got control of the ball when Garth Brough tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Garth Brough had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Galatasaray SK's Gunnar Taevere proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Galatasaray SK from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Galatasaray SK's Gunnar Taevere got control of the ball when Garth Brough tried to sneak it across the goal line. 32 minutes had been played when some careless play by Galatasaray SK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cesar Cornelius was slow to take the kick. During this time Australian Youth Academy's players had a chance to rest. 35 minutes into the match, Australian Youth Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Klaus Beudel came free, but Keylor Navas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Keylor Navas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Klaus Beudel in the 37th minute of the match. Gunnar Taevere made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Garth Brough in the 39th minute of play. Garth Brough who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Gunnar Taevere when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Through an outstanding action, after 42 minutes, Gunnar Taevere successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eduard Säuml was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Garth Brough shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gunnar Taevere saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Garth Brough sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gunnar Taevere took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Garth Brough, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59thth minute of the game Garth Brough who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Galatasaray SK's Gunnar Taevere was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Garth Brough in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gunnar Taevere prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Australian Youth Academy's Rufus Roach got a free kick in the 61st minute. 65 minutes into the match, Fletcher Baba notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Galatasaray SK's Gunnar Taevere. Gunnar Taevere was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gunnar Taevere took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Garth Brough, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Garth Brough took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gunnar Taevere. Gunnar Taevere dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Fletcher Baba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 78th minute, Garth Brough ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gunnar Taevere was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. In the 83rd minute Australian Youth Academy were awarded a corner. Cesar Cornelius went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Cesar Cornelius got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gunnar Taevere quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Gunnar Taevere took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fletcher Baba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 84 minutes into the match, Galatasaray SK's goal looked a bit too open when Fletcher Baba came free, but Gunnar Taevere reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Garth Brough might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gunnar Taevere. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Garth Brough ran back to his position shaking his head. Gunnar Taevere made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Garth Brough in the 89th minute of play. 92 minutes into the game, Fletcher Baba cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Gunnar Taevere was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Garth Brough received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Gunnar Taevere tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
