The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Leonard Treppa scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cazimir Angelescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kamal Pahlevi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gigi Neacșu in the 7th minute of the match. Cazimir Angelescu came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Tirant lo Blanch's Leonard Treppa. But to his dismay, Leonard Treppa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Leonard Treppa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cazimir Angelescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. After some careless play in the Hayalim Kedoshim defense, Leonard Treppa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cazimir Angelescu. The Hayalim Kedoshim fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cazimir Angelescu should have stopped the shot. In the 30th minute Laurențiu Pora shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kamal Pahlevi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kamal Pahlevi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laurențiu Pora, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 35th minute, Hayalim Kedoshim's Laurențiu Pora ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Kamal Pahlevi. After having played for 45 minutes, Leonard Treppa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tirant lo Blanch's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonard Treppa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hayalim Kedoshim's Vladimiro Lauro was substituted for Laurențiu Pora. Hayalim Kedoshim's Valter Setúbal was substituted for Mustafa Yaşar Recai. A sloppy throw-in by Dabi Barba in the 62nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Hayalim Kedoshim's Carlos Puyol. The Tirant lo Blanch supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Tirant lo Blanch would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
