Dorukhan Kutalp was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but 武峰竞 showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 14 minute of play. In the 17th minute, Edirne's Ali Berkant Kürşat seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ali Berkant Kürşat the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Edirne protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ali Berkant Kürşat had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Dorukhan Kutalp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 武峰竞, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Edirne's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teoman Okatay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
