Victor Hess kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Jim Mitchell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jochen Gijselinx in the 8th minute of the match. Bernard Fedosz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Victor Hess's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. In the 23rd minute, Feyyaz Baştuğ hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Desmond Rowell in the 28th minute of play forced Beto Martini MZ 20 years's goalkeeper Bernard Fedosz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute, Egídio de Almeida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 31st minute Victor Hess shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernard Fedosz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Beto Martini MZ 20 years's Bernard Fedosz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Hess in the 33rd minute of play. 33 minutes into the game, Santos FC's Victor Hess nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bernard Fedosz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The supporters of Beto Martini MZ 20 years booed when Santos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jamar Maxwell didn't get a good kick on the ball. Egídio de Almeida, 43 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 47th match minute, Beto Martini MZ 20 years was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo da Fonseca to maneuver through the defense. Thanh Darden took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bernard Fedosz. Beto Martini MZ 20 years's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After the first half Santos FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Feyyaz Baştuğ to make the kick off. Bernard Fedosz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Victor Hess in the 54th minute. Bernard Fedosz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reyes Ritter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 56th match minute, Santos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giuseppe Jewell to maneuver through the defense. After 59 played minutes Beto Martini MZ 20 years got a freekick which was hit by Ciro Innocenzio. Bernard Fedosz was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Thanh Darden. In the 63rd minute Giuseppe Jewell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernard Fedosz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Victor Hess had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 66 minutes, Felippe Ramos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Beto Martini MZ 20 years and the Santos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Felippe Ramos kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 78th minute Desmond Rowell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernard Fedosz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jim Mitchell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Egídio de Almeida in the 79th minute of play. Reyes Ritter succeeded in the game's 80th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. Feyyaz Baştuğ scored 1-2 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jim Mitchell, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Jochen Gijselinx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Santos FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
