PGE FC's Virgilio Gauargi got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in PGE FC's zone, Simon Moy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rolando Merexildo came out of the goal and Simon Moy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to PGE FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Paolo Guib hit a great ball. After having played for 26 minutes, Jean-Marie Goupy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deus Ex Machina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jean-Marie Goupy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gil Godoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guillermo Eguen in the 31st minute of play forced Deus Ex Machina's goalkeeper Jérémie Millier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jérémie Millier made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bartolo Leoiar in the 34th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Paolo Guib in the 37th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Deus Ex Machina's Louison Vaille. 40 minutes into the match, PGE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jean-Marie Goupy came free, but Rolando Merexildo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Simon Moy couldn't finish the play.
