When Váldson Custódio fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Roceira SC's protests and gave Váldson Custódio a yellow card for diving instead. Edgar Badia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabiano Couto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. PERSPOLIS's Edgar Badia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonçalo Lima in the 26th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Gonçalo Lima got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Edgar Badia quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Maurino Acedo thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Edgar Badia, a very annoying self made goal in the 91st minute which led to 1-3. Roceira SC's Gonçalo Lima got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edgar Badia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Váldson Custódio, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. When the final whistle sounded Roceira SC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than PERSPOLIS.
