The audience thought a goal was coming when Naser Awat got free with Chiquinho Romero in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Naser Awat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chiquinho Romero having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Líbano's Naser Awat slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Chiquinho Romero. That made the score 1-5 after 86 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Frontera AFC's Ezequiel Fernández got a free kick in the 92nd minute.
