Spectators: 7504 (Terracing: 5629, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 149) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Felippe Mineiro kicked off to start the match. 3 minutes into the match, Mexilhão F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Denver Grimes came free, but Marcelinho Matorin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Serafim Motta kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Marcelinho Matorin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michael Owen in the 5th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Michael Owen sped through Mexilhão F. C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marcelinho Matorin. After 12 minutes of play, Qikiqtarjuaq FC's Cyrus Velasco made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcelinho Matorin was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 15th minute, Cyrus Velasco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcelinho Matorin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. 17 minutes into the match, Mexilhão F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Cyrus Velasco came free, but Marcelinho Matorin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Reinaldo Penha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Maria Youngblood made a huge save. In the 22nd minute, Baptiste Ritchie made a precise shot to the right of Marcelinho Matorin. Mexilhão F. C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. After a rather tough play, Mexilhão F. C.'s Elivélton Quadros got a free kick in the 24th minute. After some careless play in the Mexilhão F. C. defense, Michael Owen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcelinho Matorin. The Mexilhão F. C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcelinho Matorin should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Qikiqtarjuaq FC booed when Mexilhão F. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nelsinho Dantas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcelinho Matorin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michael Owen in the 34th minute of play. Mexilhão F. C.'s Marcelinho Matorin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denver Grimes in the 36th minute of play. After 37 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Mexilhão F. C.! 39 minutes into the match, Mexilhão F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Cyrus Velasco came free, but Marcelinho Matorin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd match minute, Mexilhão F. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nelsinho Dantas to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Qikiqtarjuaq FC's zone, Reinaldo Penha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maria Youngblood came out of the goal and Reinaldo Penha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The wind increased when Michael Owen made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Mexilhão F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Michael Owen came free, but Marcelinho Matorin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 0-6 became the score in the 53rd minute when Michael Owen elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 56th minute, Felippe Mineiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 57th match minute, Mexilhão F. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reinaldo Penha to maneuver through the defense. In a very dangerous position, a player in Mexilhão F. C. fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 66th minute. Penalty! After a rather tough play, Qikiqtarjuaq FC's Renaldo Battle got a free kick in the 75th minute. In the 76th minute of the match Reinaldo Penha shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Maria Youngblood showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 82 minutes into the game, Cristiano Romero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-6. Maria Youngblood was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 88 minutes into the match, Mexilhão F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Michael Owen came free, but Marcelinho Matorin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Felippe Mineiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 95th play minutes Cyrus Velasco shot 1-7, a short shot which went by Marcelinho Matorin and just under the crossbar into goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Qikiqtarjuaq FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
